TWO GOOD FRIENDS IN PASSING.

NIGEL (LEFT)  NORMAN (CENTER) and BROTHER DON.

 Norman died peacefully on his boat, anchored off the Spanish coast.  

Don died of stomach cancer in England.  

Happily Brother Nigel is with us still.  He has a jacket and does not need to wear his dog. 

I remember the bottles of whiskey we shared watching  the daylight fade. The music we listened to as the mornings came again. I think of the freezing black waters with waves high above the ship then coming down hard on the deck, like hammers all around. Norman fussing with the engines unconcerned as the ship was thrown like a child's toy.  So many times we shared together, so many days passed with no accounting. So much music, laughter and loving.      

I know you are all in a better place since we last met.  Nigel returned to the "old country" Happily married and enjoying precious time with his family.  
               Papa Norman is lighting his pipe, gazing across calm pacific waters. The big sharks are waiting for you again in the deep waters captain. 
               Don has the "Manx Norton" throttle pegged against the stop howling through the nordkurve at the old Hockenhiem race track. It may be that he is tensed behind the wheel of his Lotus Élan, trying to pass me on a switchback country road. 
You have gone from this place dear old friends, but you will never be forgotten.

Stanzie at right. seventeen years, studying chemistry and the arts.  Corbin eight years, studying Erector set engineering and tiding his room.  Kaydence four years, studying ice cream with strawberries and washing her hands and face.
